Uses

Serve as natural blue colorant in nyonya kuih, nasi kerabu, dessert & drinks.

Direction of use

1. Steep about 20-30 dried blue pea flowers in ½ cup of hot water.

2. Strain the blue liquid after 10-15 min. Discard the flowers.

3. Blue color liquid is now ready for use as food colorant in food, dessert & drink.

Pretty Flowers

I wish I owe these pretty plants. But they are not mine. I took these pictures from a roof garden in KL. 

I personally like the sweet pink red balsam so much! They really look like roses! But, there was no seed there for me to grab. No luck = (  

As for the multilayer white pea flower, there are mature seeds there hooray!  I am so excited as white color pea flower is quite rare currently. 

Have you all heard about Halia Siam? My mom actually has this ginger plant in her garden too and it really gives you gorgeous white color ginger flower. It is edible?

All of these hibiscus are belong to my mom, only the pink hibiscus is mine.Cantik tak? Cantik tak?

 

Good & Bad

Today, I have one good news & one bad news to share with you all....

The good news is....

My very first ulam raja starts to bloom dah.....

Here is the beautiful & sweet sweet pink flower of ulam raja from my garden.

The bad news is...

What??? Again???!!!! Oh no!  The plant BULLY comes back again! Today it attacks my cherry radish plant (i planted inside the gate). 

Again, it plucks off most of the leave & just leaves there.

I suspect this damage was done by either rat, cat or squirrel. These creatures are every where at the backyard. I can see squirrels & cats running & chasing each others almost everyday. As for rats, i am not sure. They come out at night but i think i heard their running sound too..
