Purple color crepe

I realized that blue pea flower is only being used in Asian foods, such as nasi kerabu, nyonya kuih & drink. I am trying to enlarge the uses of this beautiful blue pea flower in my meal as I have them a lot in my garden.

Last few weeks, I tried to use blue pea flower in Western food pulak. I extracted the blue color from dried blue pea flowers and mixed it in crepe batter & the crepe came out with nice romantic purple color.

Besides its role as colorant, you can take the flower as ulam. Scientific studied had showed that blue pea flower exhibited antimicrobial activity  & antidiabetic activity

Read the scientific articles if you do not believe them...hehe..
