Freshly Harvested Ginger

Hurray! I had finally dug my ginger from the ground. Actually it is a long ginger. However, due to poor digging process, it had broken into several small pieces.

If you are not a green finger person, you may consider growing ginger yourself.

Growing your own ginger is really easy. Ginger plant can be considered as the ‘most neglected plant’ in my garden.

Ginger plant can last very long and it does not need any extra care. But please do water them once a week and put some fertilizer once a while.

To start growing ginger, u may use the store-bought ginger root. Plant the piece of ginger root in the soil just about 2 inches beneath the soil.

Oh ya, u can grow ginger in pot too.
^_^ These ginger really smell GOOD!

  6. Hi Olive,

I pun baru tanam halia dan kunyit dalam pasu. Daun kunyit dah selamat kena makan oleh ulat/serangga hingga jadi rongak2. Nak tanya u, halia muda yg kita buat masak clay-pot dan steam-fish tu halia biasa yg muda ke atau jenis halia yg lain ya??

    1. Hi Ummu Madinah, i pun ada tanam kunyit too. My daun kunyit pun habis jadi sasaran ulat/serangga. Duuno y it so "laku". Choose the halia tua i guess. Maybe halia muda works too. They are actually the same type just tua & muda saja matter. Good Luck ha
