Combination of beautiful red & green color harvest..Both are LONG veggie.

ALmost forgotten that i have planted angled luffa that the back..

 Found 2 angled luffas, plucked the bigger one．．

Left the smaller one for next harvest =)

Babies red long bean are actually green in color, they turn into red long when they grow up gradually (how many of u yang tak tahu :p)

Red long bean yang Almost at the end of its life cycle. Mr. Musleman told me that he almost forgotten that normal long bean are actually green in color sejak i have planted red color long bean =)

Harvest For July 2013

Ahaaa....Time to show off kejap....I do not aware that I have not blog on harvest from my mini edible garden since July... 

Oh no. It is almost half year u know....In about 2 weeks time, we will move in to Year 2014! 

Right now all the brinjal plants, luffa plants and kacang sepat plants had gone already. 

Now only left the binahong leaves, Taiwan goji leaves & aloe vera plants that still serve me well. 

I like to keep these plants in my garden because they are very easy to take care of. Some of them just grow back after you harvest the leaves.Why not right?

 

I like to cut aloe vera into cube then cook them with either roselle or lemon with honey. What about you?

Harvest For June 2013

OMG! I had totally forgotten to write about the harvest for June, which was 3 months ago!

I had Taiwan goji leaves, Gynura bicolor leaves & ginger. Both Taiwan goji leaves & Gynura bicolor leaves are very easy to take care with. Just harvest them by cutting the leaves/stems, and they will grow back.

Okay, chilies again! haha. They are so so productive. Mulberries was doing well too.  

Here, i had kacang sepat, petola bantal and brinjals. i am so glad that my 5 months old brinjal plants never fail to bear me brinjals although the size of brinjals were small.

Petola Segi or angled luffa is a fast growing climbing plant. 

Luffa is grown for its fruits as a vegetable and it must be harvested at a young stage for the best texture & taste. 

Otherwise, we can keep the mature fruit for seeds or as cleaning sponge. 

Luffa fruit have a little sweet taste. A simple cooking method like stir fry with ginger and anchovy/dry shrimps will bring out the taste.

February Harvest 2013

Again, i am late in showing off my February harvest...

Just to share ya..not to showing off PLEASE  :p  haha..

I am sorry if u happen to notice some of the photos are actually repeatation.

i myself are confused by them too.

Catch a lot of photos but lazy to write.

February was a month with Chinese New Year holiday.

So i brought back most of the harvest to my mom.

I am really feel proud with the harvest that i get. Do You?

January Harvest 2013

OMG! It is March NOW! But I am writing about the harvest for January!!  

I am really a lazy girl! Basically, brinjal is the winner crop, followed by petola and bitter gourd (peria katak). 

I have been giving away both the brinjal & petola. Too many of them!  

I think the aunty next door must be so happy, always have some FOC & pesticide free vege from me. 

The aunty next door has a small body frame. I remember I give her 3 petola & 4 brinjals at one time without the plastic bag.   

Suddenly I feel so proud of myself when I look at her carrying my harvest, because it is a lot. 

She look like just coming back from shopping (okay, the American style bringing the paper bag with all the goods), nearly half of her body was covered by the harvest…haha
